Cheesy Boneless Pork Chops in the Oven

Thin boneless pork chops are seasoned, slathered in mayonnaise, topped with onions and covered in extra-sharp cheddar cheese and then baked in the oven until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown. It's a 4-ingredient dinner for busy weeknights the whole family will love.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound pork chops boneless thin cut (6-7 pork chops)
  • ½ medium yellow onion thinly sliced
  • ½ cup mayonnaise or more as needed
  • 6-8 oz Extra sharp cheddar cheese grated
  • salt/pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Using a meat tenderizer, lightly pound the meat on both sides.
  • Place meat on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Season meat with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, mix thinly sliced onions with mayo and then spread the mayonnaise over the pork chops and top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes or until cheese is bubbly on top and meat is cooked through (should temp to 145 F). Optionally, you can broil the pork chops for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is browned and bubbly.
  • Let the pork chops rest for 3 minutes after removing them from the oven. Then serve and enjoy!
