Say goodbye to boring salads! This honey mustard dressing is zingy and sweet, and you likely have all of the ingredients in your pantry already!

I first made this recipe, not intending to use it as a salad dressing, but rather, a marinade for chicken wraps. But, even after using half of my recipe as a marinade, and drizzling more of it over chicken and bacon and avocado… I still had a few tablespoons left. I used it to dress a side salad one night and it became an instant hit, especially with my 12-year old.

If you ask me, everyone should have this honey mustard dressing recipe in their back pocket. Easy, healthy, and delicious, you’ll find yourself using it on simple green salads, for chicken marinades or as a flavorful dip for chicken tenders. Try it once, and I promise you’ll make it over and over.

    Honey Mustard Dressing Ingredients

You only need 7 ingredients to make this honey mustard salad dressing recipe! Chances are, you have most or all of them in your pantry already:

    • Honey: Where dressing gets its signature sweetness from.
    • Dijon mustard & apple cider vinegar: To give the dressing that bright, zingy flavor as well as a smooth and creamy texture.
    • Garlic: For a bit of sharpness.
    • Extra virgin olive oil: Gives this dressing richness and mellows the sweetness from honey.
    • Salt and pepper: Makes everything pop.

    How to Make this Recipe

This dressing (as with most) couldn’t be easier to make. The recipe, in particular, should give you enough dressing for 2-3 family-sized side salads, which makes it a great dressing to prep on Sunday to encourage healthy eating all week long.

    • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, vinegar, mustard, garlic, salt, and black pepper.
    • Whisk in olive oil, starting with a few drops at a time, and building to a steady stream to create emulsification.

Use it to make these Honey Mustard Chicken wraps or see other suggestions in the section below!
